Hello. I need to do another question. Haha I realize people are copying... but you'll need to summarize it if you do. =P

What might lead to human flourishing?

Very often do people come up with solutions to problems they find in the world. However, if these solutions really do work, then why are we still finding problems with the world? Humans have been on Earth for millions of years, and I'm sure we have been working to perfect the world for the same amount of time as well. For with thought come aspirations.

Examples are evident in our everyday lives. In our bid to improve our lives through industrialization and motorized transport, we have burnt loads of fossil fuels. The burning produces by-products in the form of greenhouse gases, causing enhanced greenhouse effect, which messes up our climate, hence giving us even more problems. Can we ever break this cycle of problems? Will we ever keep solving problems until we come to a point in time where the world has no more problems?

I do not think so. It is human nature to find flaws in nearly everything. Perhaps dissatisfaction is the reason why the human race is making so many innovations in attempts to make our lives better. However, does the presence of problems mean we are not flourishing? I believe in being positive. Although we could view problems as hindering our flourishing, we could also view them as stepping stones to success. After all, as a German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche, once said, "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger."

Was that Mr. See's quote too? Haha.

I find that I have no more fire in me. Today's training was controlled. That is, I didn't whack like crazy. I more like controlled how hard I pushed. It was such that I still had a bit left for the 200m x3 sprints after the 300m x3, 500m x3 and 750m x3 sprints. My partner died out for the 200ms. So I have energy remaining, but I'm afraid I'm not pushing hard enough... Urgh... During training I'm so dead tired and hoping for less, but when I look back... I need better memory of what I went through.

Oh yeah, I though of a new thingymajig.

Self-Cleaning Toilet Seat

Ever had to put up with a dirty toilet seat? If you haven't, you're lucky. But most of us have. Think of all the fluid and bacteria left on it... I mean, you're sitting coverless at the same spot another coverless person has sat on. Haha I've heard of some studies that say toilet seats are really clean... But have they seen the toilets at MacRitchie? The smell is crazy (faeces/urine mixed with the air freshener, which isn't fresh anymore), and the seat is covered with... *sigh* So you can see why I'm thinking of this.

The seat will be rotatable, like, top side down, bottom side up. On the bottom side of the seat will be a disinfectant spray, a water spray, and a wipe which does not trap dirt, but sweep it into a pipe at the back of the seat which also drains the sprayed water and disinfectant. Of course, these mechanisms will be hidden. The order of operation (haha maths?) will be disinfectant, then the water, then the wipe. This will be possible by the use of a lever the user has to operate, or maybe electrically.

So you enter a toilet, find the toilet totally disgusting, pull the lever, and BAM! You get a cleaner toilet!

Haha. That's all. Bye.
