Today, I spent the whole afternoon (after tuition) trying to figure out a straightforward method to find the equations of number patterns. You see, I was getting sick of the luck-based guessing and checking method
and the tedious simultaneous equations, so I tried to figure out something new. I thought about linear and quadratic number pattern formulas. You see, the difficulty is not with finding the next few numbers, it's with finding the "master key" of the pattern.
Linear Patterns (an+b) a and b are constants, n is the term number. Telltale sign: Difference between consecutive numbers is the same. (5,7,9,11,13 - difference is +2)
Pattern: 5, 7, 9, 11, 13... Step 1. Find the increase/decrease between each consecutive number. (7-5=+2) This is the "a" value. Step 2. Substitute "a" into the equation. (2n+b) Step 3. Let n be the term number, and equate the equation to the corresponding term value, to get the value of "b". (2(1)+b=5, b=3) Equation --> 2x+3 Try it out! It works.
Quadratic Patterns (an2+bn+c) a, b and c are constants, n is the term number. Telltale sign 1: Difference between consecutive terms increases for positive numbers (2, 5, 10, 17, 26) and decreases for negative numbers (-2, -5, -10, -17, -26). Telltale sign 2: Difference between consecutive terms is linear (refer to above).
Pattern: 2, 5, 10, 17, 26... Step 1. List out the differences between the terms in increasing order. (5-2, 10-5, 17-10, 26-17...) --> (3, 5, 7, 9) Step 2: Find the equation of the linear increase, with steps above. (2n+1) Step 3: INTEGRATE the equation of the linear increase. (I(2n+1)dn=n2+n+c) Step 4: Look at the "n2+n+c" Step 5: Ignore "c" for now. Step 6: "n2" is the first part of your equation (a=1). Step 7: Subtract "an" from n. (n-1n=0n) "0n" is the second part of your equation. Step 8: You now end up with 1n2+0n+c. Step 9: Substitute in an "n" value and equate the equation to the corresponding term, to find "c". (1(1)2+0(1)+c=2, c=1) Equation --> n2+1 Cool, huh?
Now I'll attempt something a little more complicated.
Pattern: 1, -4, -12, -23, -37... Difference: -5, -8, -11, -14 Difference equation: -3n-2 Difference integrate: -1.5n2-2n+c Value of "a": -1.5 Value of "b": -2-(-1.5)=-0.5 Value of "c": -1.5(1)2-0.5(1)+c=1, c=3 Equation --> -1.5n2-0.5n+3
LOVELY!!!!
Oops, it's a little difficult to understand because of the lack of superscript.
Note: This isn't a proper method. The proper way is to multiply the equation of the linear increase by x, then divide the x2 value by two, and subracting the x2 value from the x value.

Heyhey.
Guess what I eat for recess? Rice, steamed egg, french beans, curry cabbage, cauliflower, celery, groundnuts, tofu, beansprout, carrot, tomato, chilli... Woohoo, way to go, vegan! (minus the egg :P)
Why am I half attempting to veganize myself? Because I feel for the animals that die for me. When I eat meat images flash before me, and it hurts. Do I care too much? Maybe I do. What she said. ^^ Okay, not really. It's my problem, and my problem alone. Is it?
Doesn't matter anymore.
I was on a double deckered bus, second floor. 3rd row from the stairs, right side. Sitting down, talking to the kid behind me. You apologized. YOU APOLOGIZED. You actually had to guts to say sorry in my face. You explained your reasons, I voiced my grievances. I laughed it off. At least now you know.
You said, "I'm not a rich snob."
"Oh really? Okay fine, not a snob. But you ARE rich."
"Urgh. Bye."
It's your stop. Looks Adam road-ish outside. You stand up and leave.
Dreams are my reality. What's the difference? I've experienced reconciliation. That's enough for me.
Practice for your prose! Find hidden meaning. THINK. It's good for you.

The little fox spied a hen, wandering from her little pen. Cautiously advancing, as he may, a lonely vegetarian, non-agrarian. Hey, dear hen, how do you do? You seem so very sweet, when will we meet again? Soon, my dear, do not fear, a few more days, I'll reappear.
I am a fox, whom you should fear. My deathy teeth, clothed in a fabric sheath. But for now my values remain, vegetarian, may you be safe.
The little fox fell, broke his leg. In pain, in tears, cried out. Little hen came running, never shunning the deadly fox. Through days, through nights, little hen stayed, share the misery, share the pain. When you get better, when you get better, all will be better. Rest now, my dear. Not a move, let me hear.
I am shocked, why do you care? This is my mistake, my fault. You should leave me, leave me to suffer alone. You care too much, you care too much.
The little fox recovered, strengthens once more. What didn't kill him, made him strong. Little hen is a fighter, never give up, never give in. Every worthy moment to good use. Broken fox remodels, become a warrior, fight on. If hen can do it, so can fox.
I am a fox, my dear. As much as I love your company, my very identity... Why don't you fear? Why do you stay? When will you realize, we are not a pair.
The little fox braces. Little hen, dear hen. Too good to be true. Too good, too good. About time you backed off. Slowly, surely. As I close my eyes, wait for you to disappear. You don't. And when I open my eyes, tears fill them. You're still here, but the end is near.
I don't want you to go. I'm too selfish. You're the only one who stood by, who shows you care. Or am I lying to myself?
I really love you, I really do. Love is over rated. At least you don't run. Why don't they understand? I'm vegan, I choose to be vegan, though I'm not. I love, with all my heart, my scarred heart, flayed in too many places, but still beating strong, remind me I'm still alive.
I wonder when you'll disappear. But I'll always be here, I'll always be near. Until you decide to leave, I will remain naive. And I will be here.
This is what lack of sleep does to me.
Are you happy, green eyed monster? Are you happy with your place?
The fox must be chased away first, then the hen may be warned against wandering in the bush.
Curiosity kills the fox.

I'm a dreamy kid.
I dreamt of sitting with someone on a low wall, chatting... Then we said goodbye and I went home. Then I realized I left my phone and BARBELL (barbell?!?!?!) back at the wall, so I headed back. I was rolling around in a roller chair to the lift, when I got stared at, then I made some excuse relating to my broken toe. In the lift, I met some guy I didn't recognize, and he said he knows me and has invited me to his wedding in an sms, but I didn't have my phone, so I just said OKAY... and acted normal and stuff. Then I flashed to the wedding, which was in some posh place with water decorations flowing down glass with blue lighting. Then I went home, and felt hungry, so I stuffed myself with bee hoon, and kept eating... eating... then I woke up (so many "then"s!).
I dreamt about meeting some arch nemesis in Oban Star Racers in a toilet, called Kanaan (LOL GOKUL) or something, and he said something about "...finally, after 10000 years..." and I saw this massive apple-core shaped multitude of stars, and something about "creation and destruction of energy". Then I blacked out. I awoke in a bus, going on some overseas trip to another country. I was messaging someone, and considering the cost of overseas smses, but I sent it anyway. Then we arrived at some building, and checked in... Then I followed my mom into some huge bungalow resort, where there was a pool on the roof. Some schoolmates were there, and we were hi-fiving (the weird hi-fives). Then we started pushing each other into the pool... and I woke up.
As you can see, I really need a break.

Hey, I'm posting today because I feel this is important.
A few months ago, I did an experiment involving two glass jars, some wires, nails, vinegar, salt, water, and a battery. One jar was filled up the the liquids and two nails, while the other was filled with the same things, just that the two nails were connected to the battery.
BUBBLIEZZZZZZ!!!! Electrolysis in action. The two nails in the electrified jar were bubbling furiously (one more than the other, oxygen-hydrogen ratio 1:2). Also, they were losing their lustre, becoming dull. The change was OBSERVABLE.
So I left the two jars for a few days. I noticed the clear water was becoming kinda brown in both jars. After a few more days, the water became BROWN and OPAQUE. A sheet of shiny oil-like sheet covered the surface of the liquids. THEY LOOKED TOXIC. My mom said I just created a habitat for tetanus-causing bacteria. LOL BIOHAZARD. Over a month later, the liquid had almost totally evaporated, and only some icky brown-black solid stuff was left in the bottom of both jars. The originally clear jar also became tinted brown. Haha, they're both gone now, sadly (dustbinned). RIP.
I also decided to try out another freakish reaction. I mixed clorox for colors and clorox bleach together. Hydrogen peroxide mixed with sodium hypochlorite (oxygen, water formed, plus other random stuff). It resulted in some almost-explosive reaction! Not fire, haha. The two solutions just foamed like mad. Like your bicarbonate-vinegar volcano in primary school. :) Just much more intense. Of course, the fun won't be complete without the nail in the midst of all the action. The nail seemed to have melted onto the container, after a day or so. FUN, FUN.
Now I've got some experiment going on with red beans, saltwater, and tap water. I don't think I'm supposed to use red beans (green beans or soya beans only?), but heck. Haha. I hope something spectacular happens... but plants grow too slowwww~ :/
kay bye.

"Exactly!" :D

Am I being very mean? haha.
I've been dreaming a lot lately, and they're mostly game-related. Not that I've been playing loads of computer games (or pokemon, haha) lately... It's more like I haven't been playing, haha. They say dreams can be a reflection of your desires... :P
I remember a dream where I was playing some L4D/AvP/Motorcycle/FPS game it's like, I was outside the game... then I got sucked in, unaware, and I was part of the game, and experiencing it first hand. But that's not important.
I was in a room, and the dude with me was deciphering some code-lock to a vault-like door to escape some zombie-infested area. Then a clown-zombie-assasin-female appeared at the other doorway of the room, which we entered by. I shot at her, but she avoided. Then she threw some explosive(s), which seemed to be human-magnetic (one got suck onto my hand), and left the doorway.
I ran out of the room, after her, and tried to throw the thing on my hand at her, but it was stuck. I panicked, shook my hand like mad, and eventually ended up flinging it back into the room my companion was in. It blew up behind me.
I saw that female assasin walking down the corridor away from me, hand in hand with another larger clown-zombie-assasin-male, which I perceived to be her brother. He told her, "you should shoot them down before you bomb them". His tone made it sound something like, GIVE THEM CHANCE. And she just laughed, laughed, laughed... He addressed the girl as "Hickles" and she addressed him as "Jickles".
I felt fear as I looked at them leave, fearing their return, upon knowing I survived.
That's all of the dream that I remember! (excluding the random stuffiez before I ended up in the room)
Jickles refers to all things negative, and hickles refers to uncontrollable laughter. So does this mean I'm fighting/running from all things negative, and uncontrollable laughter?
I actually put up this post for the sake of these songs :P Haha, you know, my blog's like my personal playlist, since all my songs got wiped out when my computer screwed up (restrarted itself) and I had to reformat.
Kaybye, more homework to do. Just finished the commentary of To the Foot from its Child, by the way. :)
